Sunday Evening will be our combined Singspiration with Locust Grove and we're also going to do something a bit different. Since it is the IDOP we're going to start the service in a like manner to the persecuted church.
That means everyone has to come in quietly (so the authorities don't hear us).
1. Everyone will come in quietly.
2. We'll start by candlelight and will sing without instruments to start with.
3. Prayer for Persecuted.
4. H#118 His name is wonderful (no music, no words on the screen everyone knows it).
5. H#34 He Is Lord (no music, no words on the screen everyone knows it).
6. H#3 Holy, Holy, Holy. (this gets a bit complicated: Verse one will be no music, and no words on the screen. Verse two and three still no music but words on the screen so people know them. Verse 4 will begin music following the key change, words will still be on the screen and the lights will be turned on in the middle of the fourth verse "All they works shall praise thy name [lights on]...."
7. H#10 Majesty (lots of music and words here! and lights too of course.)
After this we'll all be ready to worship for certain so after a brief prayer and a welcome we'll move into the lineup (still being built).
End of service: There will be a few congregational songs which David will be able to pick from at his discretion.
But we will end with H#391 Sweet, Sweet Spirit.
Then... Pies!
Blessings to you all in the name of Jesus our Savior,
Pastor Tom.
